I feel like the legal institution of adoption is unreasonably limited by restricting it to parent-child relationships. If me and some random asshole want to legally be second cousins, I think we should just be able to do that.
This concept is hilarious. Yes we're now cousins but there's no aunts/uncles/parents connecting us. Cut out the middle man completely. We're just family but not directly related ya know?
You understand me precisely.
For everybody saying "well ACTUALLY you can just decide to call whoever you want your uncle/cousin/whatever", this isn't about kinship – it's about bureaucracy. I want to cause problems on purpose.
characters who are absolutely convinced down to their bones that they are unlovable being subjected to the mortifying ideal of being wholly and unconditionally loved. that’s the good stuff. never get tired of it.
do you ever see a character and you're like 'idk what you are but you are DEFINITELY not cisgender'
eyimpostinghere asked:
Hi Neil,
How much has your work been inspired by Goncharov (1973)?
neil-gaiman answered:
The whole of Season 2 of Good Omens was inspired by Goncharov. Dottie and Sadie, Aziraphale and Crowley’s wives, were basically my take on Perdita and Brigitte, the two tourists who worked in the condom factory, and the whole Goncharov helium balloons and clowns sequence. For that matter, without Goncharov it would never have occurred to me to have made the comedy in episode 4 the fact that Dottie and Sadie and their husbands have unknowingly all been booked in the same hotel room, or to have had the Archangel Gabriel played by a chinchilla. Yes.
Nintendo should release the source code to Breath of the Wild so modders can straight up Skyrim it.
I’m talking new characters, enemies, etc, of course, but like. Can you imagine if someone rebuilt Ocarina of Time in the BotW engine?

hello! reblog this version instead!
Hello! Disabled person here. Did you know those of us declared legally disabled and collect SSI and benefits are barred from getting married? Yep! I'm also queer so this isn't hate at all, it's a call to action: if you love marriage equality, come help us fight for ours.
if you want to help the disabled community this pride you can give me money! <3
I don’t care how contrived it is. I will always enjoy two characters who don’t like each other somehow getting trapped in the same place, and having to work together to escape, while at the same time growing closer and learning that maybe, the other person isn’t so bad after all.
